AirSim is a Microsoft Research project that allows drone manufacturers and software developers to create robotic autonomous systems. Since opening the Xbox FanFest three years ago, Microsoft has reached fans at fests around the world. In 2016 alone, 13,000 fans attended events around the world. With botnet capabilities, the researchers say Virobot has the ability to quickly infiltrate machines through a successful email attack. This is an effective and rapid distribution technique that makes this ransomware potentially dangerous.
